About Me

I grew up in a family of 6 in a town 10 miles east of Rexburg where I currently live.  I was raised in Newdale, Idaho and attended Sugar Salem High School where I was active in sports, cheerleading, taking piano, playing softball and in a rodeo club called the Rough Riders.  I was accused of loving horses more than boys, which may have been true but my love for horses gave me many opportunities.   I married a man with 5 children and together we had one more, plus my 3 brought the total to 9!  So you guessed it, “The Brady Bunch,” of yours, mine and ours.  That adventure has led to 16 grandchildren.  What a journey.  I guess I've needed all of these experiences in order to become a passionate teacher.  I started teaching at Madison high school in 1993.  Growing up a Sugar Salem Digger, the Madison Bobcats were our rivals, but I soon became loyal to the red, white and grey.  Some of my interests include water and snow skiing, traveling, playing golf, tennis and boating, swimming and playing with my grandchildren.  If that’s not enough, I started a small business running the Sno Shack and Snoasis here in Rexburg.  This has given me the opportunity to hire some of my students and family members which had brought me great satisfaction and of course, fun!
